Abstract: The appearance of the first computers required a separate room, special conditions, many cables and a group of people who served their work. It did not take much time that the same computers, though much smaller and more powerful, have become an indispensable component of everyday life. However, slowly but surely, we have reached process capacities that we are able to achieve with existing materials and available technologies. The human need for collecting and analyzing data clearly showed the need to find new approaches in computer design. One of the possible alternatives requires a symbiosis with a science that deals with the almost unreal area called Quantum Mechanics. Quantum computers are not too distant from us. They already exist, but history repeats because quantum computers currently require a separate room, special conditions, many cables and a group of people who serve their work. Therefore, it is expected that quantum computers will soon become an indispensable component of everyday life. During this short presentation, details of how quantum computers operate, as well as their impact on the traditional way of software development will be presented.
