Ponència. New Pathways into Distance-Biregular Graphs

L’Escola Politècnica Superior (EPS) de la Universitat de Lleida acollirà el proper dilluns 5 d’octubre la visita del professor Blas Fernández de la University of Primorska, koper, Slovenia, que impartirà el seminari New Pathways into Distance-Biregular Graphs.

Abstract:

Distance-biregular graphs are a natural bipartite analogue of distance-regular graphs. Despite their close connection with one of the central classes in algebraic graph theory, they remain comparatively poorly understood: only a limited number of families are known, and, until recently, no general method for constructing new examples was available. In this talk, we introduce the notion of $2$-$Y$-homogeneity for distance-biregular graphs. We discuss the classification of all $2$-$Y$-homogeneous distance-biregular graphs, extending several results known for distance-regular graphs. The classification yields new families and reveals strong structural consequences. In particular, $2$-$Y$-homogeneity provides a systematic framework for the study and construction of new distance-biregular graphs.
